Red Shirt Pride Day 2023 – June 3rd
The KindRED Pride Foundation was founded with the aim of expanding the magic created by the longstanding tradition of the Gay Pilgrimage, which is a HOMECOMING celebration at Magic Kingdom in Orlando. The event initially started with a small group of individuals who decided to meet socially in front of the castle on the first Saturday in June. They wore red t-shirts as a way to identify themselves as “kindred spirits” who had previously connected only through an online bulletin board. Over time, the event grew significantly and became one of the largest annual gatherings for the LGBTQ+ community worldwide. The goal of the foundation is to invite both previous attendees and new participants, numbering in the thousands, to experience the “MAGIC” of this iconic event at Magic Kingdom on the first Saturday of every June.
